Silence, long held
in shuttered cities
Landscape pocked with bodies
Stale breath hovers
Piled high under common eye
the naked dead flow
A stream uninterrupted
in light of day
Rats stir, quiver
under sun’s unbidden pallor
Oh, muted hearts
through clasped hands glimmer
Shine!
Hearts! Shine!
Steps falter
in halls long emptied
Dull gaze glistens
through shadowed cracks
Mask broken
Blood, across all shores
twined
By the fall
all are joined
Through red cloud’s haze
finger’s reach is met
All are joined
All are joined
Sight regained
In rooms now illumed
by fire’s shine
Swaying mass
by hymns restored
Up the luminous steps
Arisen from the ash they ascend
Up! Up!
Ascend!
By shards of sun scattered
Through dome hung with leaves
are anointed bowed heads
In this world of light

Anthony Daniels in 1991 wrote with respect to Soviet communism: To assent to obvious lies is in some small way to become evil oneself. One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control.
—quoted by Dr. David Hughes, “Resistance and Faith”
There are two ways to discern the Will of God for one’s life. One is to discover what God has revealed about it in His own words, and this is to be found in Catholicism, with no admixture of error. By practicing it, one is also enabled to believe with certainty and follow with consistency what God has revealed through Grace, the theological virtues of Faith, Hope, and Charity that are infused into the soul in Baptism, through participation in the sacraments, and a life of prayer, contemplation, and grace-inspired, meritorious, loving works. While Faith provides access to the supernatural aspect of God’s Will, undiscoverable and incomprehensible to the human intellect, His will can also be known on a natural level in creation through the exercise of theoretical and practical reason. For example, what God wants us to do is communicated through the moral law, which is discernible by reason alone. And the acquired virtue of prudence, aided by the infused virtue of the prudence and the Holy Spirit’s Gift of Counsel, indeed, by all of the acquired and infused virtues and Gifts, allows one to discern God’s will in the immanent particulars of one’s daily life.
There is a lot more I could say about this way of knowing God’s Will, including the role that liberal education and familial/political/cultural habituation play in disposing us to see it and love it, not to mention the conditioning influence of one’s political and cultural order, healthy or corrupt or somewhere in between, and the present condition of the human element of the Church, with its relation to the political and cultural, whether subservient or authoritative or somewhere in between. Regardless of these factors and conditions, everything every human being has ever and will ever need to discern the Will of God and obey It is available, for God desires that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth, and thus He provides to every human being at every moment in every place what is necessary to obtain salvation, if we so desire it, choose it, and cooperate with His abundant Grace. Desiring it and choosing it is up to us, for God who created us without our will will not save us without it.
But there is another way to discern the Will of God, not through what God has directly revealed about Himself and His Will, but through what God has permitted His enemies to reveal in their opposition to Him. In addition to the first way, and for many it is now the main path to it, it is this “negative” revelation of God’s will that God wants us to turn our attention to, whether we have the Catholic Faith or not. Just as God allows heresies to arise so that the full and balanced truth can be more deeply and accurately understood in contrast, so too is God allowing not mere heresy but an all-out assault of all the combined forces of evil on God, His Church, and Reality itself, both from within the Church and without, so that we can more fully and deeply understand the saving truths and realities in which we may already believe and experience to be exquisitely prepared to do His Will in the present time.
If everything needed for salvation is present to us, and guaranteed to be such, for against the Church the Gates of Hell cannot prevail; and since evil cannot prevent us from choosing to do God’s will, then the only thing the forces of evil can do is to make it as difficult as possible to do so. God allows them to make it so difficult, and we wish He did not, and we cannot really explain why He does so. We only know that it’s somehow better for us this way. When we look back on our lives from Heaven, we will have more understanding of this, but until then, we must simply trust and submit to His all-loving and all-merciful and all-just and knowing and all-powerful will. We have all the reason in the world to do so in Jesus’ Passion. So what is evil doing right now to make things as difficult as possible, and what can we learn from it?
Jesus told us that the Devil is a liar and a murderer from the beginning. There is nothing more evil than these, no straighter path to Hell than the one paved by them, and never before has there been more lies and murders. Geo-politically, the plandemic was the very incarnation and apotheosis of lies and murder, with the false-flag terror event of IXXI as its prelude. The War on Terror that IXXI inaugurated, which destroyed so many countries and lives and ushered in the first stage of global totalitarianism, was built on an enormous lie, and if you don’t know this, that’s just indicative of how powerful that lie was. The number of deaths from the bioweapon injection is already in the tens of millions, not to mention the incalculable amount of physical and psychological sickness it and the psy-op as a whole unleashed, and the death toll may very well rise to a billion in the next few years, considering that we still do not know what exactly they put in the jabs and why they were so intent on jabbing everyone on the planet, not to mention the potential for harm of the nano-tech and graphene oxide that we know were in them. Everything, literally everything, they told us in 2020 and after was a lie, and these lies were aimed at the total subjugation of society and the soul. They were incredibly successful. And they are still lying, and doubling down on the previous ones.
The Devil cannot force us to lie or murder, only tempt us to do so, but what he can do is use his willing servants to create lies and then force us to live in the midst of them. He’s been doing this since the foundation of the world, beginning with the First Lie through the willing serpent: “You shall not die. You shall be as gods knowing good and evil.” But he had to wait until the 21st century, with its centralized, elite-controlled, technologically advanced media, to create lies that could become literal worlds, with his minions forcing the rest of us to inhabit them. This he has done. We can’t entirely escape these worlds, but we can recognize the lies upon which they are built, resist them, reject them in our own minds and hearts, unmask them for all to see, substitute them with the truth, and communicate this truth to others as much as we can. But how many are doing this? How many of those with some power and influence in society are doing so? How many Christians are doing so? How many Catholics?
What the devil wants most is for us to become complicit with and participate in these lie worlds, not necessarilly by creating them in the first place (this is the special prerogative of the evilest among us, the elite cabal), or by believing in them wholeheartedly and earnestly (for this can be done without sin, with all or most of the fault and guilt in the liar and not the lied-to, with the main fault of the latter being, not dishonesty, but mere stupidity and gullibility), but in accepting them while not really believing in them, or without putting in the effort to question and determine their truth, preferring instead to live within and promote these lie-worlds instead of the real world due to the enhancement of one’s power, sense of well-being, prestige, etc. that the public acceptance and parroting of them secures. One knows in the back of one’s mind that the claims and narratives are either untrue or not indubitably the truth, but one still speaks and behaves as if they are self-evident, unquestionable, sacred, the mere doubting of which being indicative of insanity or malice. Doing so preserves one’s status and power in the world. One becomes a traitor to Truth.
What we are talking about here is pretense. This is the sin that the Devil above all wants us to commit, and he has accomplished his goal very successfully lately. This is what Jesus thinks about pretense, as He told Luisa Picarretta.
Oh! how disgusted I am by one who in appearance does good, pretends to be good, prays, but inside nurses evil, self-interest; and while the lips are praying, his heart is far away from Me; and in the very act of doing good he is thinking of how to satisfy his brutal passions. Moreover, a man who is false in the good which he apparently does and says, is incapable of giving light to others, since he has shut the doors to it. So they act like incarnate devils, who many times attract men under the appearance of good; and these, in seeing this good, let themselves be drawn in; but right in the middle of the way, they make them fall into graver sins. Oh! how much safer are the temptations under appearance of sin, than those under appearance of good. In the same way, it is safer to deal with perverted people than with good people, but false. How much poison do they not hide? How many souls do they not poison? If it wasn’t for pretenses, and if all let themselves be known for what they are, the root of evil would be removed from the face of the earth, and all would remain free of illusion.
God is showing us today what pretense truly looks like, the utter hell of it, by allowing the world, as well as the human-corrupted element of the Catholic Church, to become one gigantic pretense. In addition to IXXI and the Plandemic, we can see pretense incarnate all around us: in the Ukraine conflict, climate change, American “democracy,” the presidential election, the transgender insanity, and the Pride Reich (to use John Waters’ apt term).
In modernity, lie-worlds were created, transmitted, and incarnated in poltics and culture, and we became their victims, believing in and inhabiting them unaware of their mendacity. What I see now as I participate in social media is that many of these modern lie-worlds, from the most abstract and ideological (materialism, scientism, liberalism, radical feminism, Americanism, Zionism) to the most concrete and historical (WWII ideology, deep-state events such as JFK, IXXI, and the Scamdemic) are being contested and unmasked as lies in the consciousness of an increasing number of people—they are now being seen, not as indubitable and obvious truths and facts of nature and history, but as man-made ideologies and paradigms and egregores, on the one hand, and psyops, propaganda narratives, and Orwellian double-think, on the other, originating in the will-to-power of certain elites and imposed on the collective consciousness by nefarious personages, groups, societies, and institutions, which are themselves also being unmasked and named. God is allowing these lies to be exposed, and the masses—the good-willed among them, at least—are recognizing that they have been lied to about the most fundamental things, from the nature of God and reality and political order to the “facts” of cosmology, history, and health, and they are speaking out. A clear indication of what I am seeing is the recent rise of Candace Owens, a very popular “elite” influencer who is now challenging many sacred cows in public on behalf of the masses.
Dr. Hughes, one of the only public academics telling the full truth about the plandemic and other deep state crimes against humanity, puts it perfectly:
A categorical refusal to believe in absurdities is, therefore, indispensable to resisting evil. It is not only an intellectual requirement, but also a moral and theological imperative. Today, the effectiveness of the Big Lie technique is waning. More and more people are refusing to believe in absurdities simply because their government and media tell them to. With this “Great Awakening” will come a powerful religious resurgence, because the lies are designed to sustain evil, while the truth allows good to flourish.
With all these propaganda narratives crumbling before our eyes, will the academic class and other establishment professionals who once served as gate-keepers, either ignoring these “conspiracy theories” entirely or providing intellectual cover for them, finally repent of their cowardice and treason, or will they all double down and become confirmed in it? In the last five years or so, several Catholic academics, DC Schindler in particular, have thoroughly unmasked the Big Lie of liberalism and have publicly endorsed some form of Catholic integralism or confessionalism, which is the only rational position for a believing Catholic, thereby making it “safe” for others to do so. There was a time when this way of thinking was considered insane or heretical or wicked (think of First Things under Fr. Neuhaus) but some heroic Catholic intellectuals did their job (David Schindler the Elder, God rest his soul, in particular) and now Catholic public discourse permits such thoughts. In fact, we have won the debate.
But how many establishment Catholic academics are willing to use their trained intellectual powers and influential platforms to call into question not just relatively safe-to- critique ideological lies but the much more dangerous, hot-button, third-rail ones, such as the deep-state, trauma-based psy-ops mentioned above that were enabled by these ideologies and now keep so many people in psychological and spiritual bondage? Dr. David Hughes is one academic willing to put his livelihood on the line to obey God and do his duty. May others follow his heroic lead.
Neither shall the wicked dwell near thee: nor shall the unjust abide before thy eyes. Thou hatest all the workers of iniquity: Thou wilt destroy all that speak a lie. The bloody and the deceitful man the Lord will abhor. But as for me in the multitude of thy mercy, I will come into thy house; I will worship towards thy holy temple, in thy fear. Conduct me, O Lord, in thy justice: because of my enemies, direct my way in thy sight. For there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is vain. Their throat is an open sepulchre: they dealt deceitfully with their tongues: judge them, O God. Let them fall from their devices: according to the multitude of their wickedness cast them out: for they have provoked thee, O Lord. But let all them be glad that hope in thee: they shall rejoice for ever, and thou shalt dwell in them. And all they that love thy name shall glory in thee: For thou wilt bless the just. O Lord, thou hast crowned us, as with a shield of thy good will.
—Psalm 5
What God wants above all for us now is to live without pretense. It is time for all of us to repent of this damnable sin, heed the revelation and permission of unprecedented evil that God is allowing in his inscrutable mercy and justice, and allow His power, the power of Truth spoken in courage and love, to destroy the hegemony of lies and murder.
